Put simply, these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The memory foam-style insole is incredibly accommodating which is especially useful to me because I have a disability that causes me to toe in on one foot and to have a wee bit too much camber on the other. Ordinarily, a shoe cannot allow for such geometry issues so will tend to wear unevenly and cause soles and uppers to erode rapidly. The memory foam-type substance used in the Hey Dude product's insoles solves this by allowing my feet to be misaligned without the sole or the shoe itself being subjected directly to the extra load which will - in the long term - mean that these well built shoes should prove to be exceptionally durable.\nIn value for money terms, no other shoe can help me with my particular needs in the way that these do, so for that reason alone they represent a massive bargain.\nHowever, their ability to keep me upright and pointing forwards isn't the shoes' only unique quality. Every aspect of their design is equally clever and beautifully thought through as if designed with nothing carried forward from more conventional footwear. \n\nI must say though, that I find it impossible to compare these shoes to other footwear, this simply because they're so refreshingly different that such comparison would be akin to trying to pick a winner between the world's most comfortable car and a washing machine! Yes, they really are that unique in every way and unless you appoint the person who pours the foam into the unique seat of a Formula 1 racing car to make a shoe, this level of comfort will, in my view, simply be unobtainable.\n\nAs a final point; these shoes, in spite of my having worn them both without and with socks since purchase, are yet to develop the horrid scent that is usually observed after my first day in any other pair of shoes. \n\nSummary: Buy a pair, you won't regret it! :-)
